BEASTtools v1.0
A multichannel playground for the development of sound materials

http://www.birmingham.ac.uk/facilities/BEAST/research/BEASTtools.aspx

by Daniel Barreiro, Pete Batchelor, Eric Bumstead, James Carpenter, Alex Harker, Jonty Harrison, Erik Oña and Chris Tarren – with special thanks to Ben Thigpen.

BEASTtools is a fully modular cross-platform environment for exploring and processing sound in 2- and 8-channel formats. The system comprises a number of processing 'tools', each with a specific function, which can be daisy-chained together to form a work environment. BEASTtools also has facilities for accepting live audio streams, hosting VST plugins, up to 8-channel recording, and controlling channel routing for different software programs and applications.

To run BEASTtools you will need Max/MSP or Max Runtime. Simply download and unzip the bundle and follow the instructions in the ReadMe file.

Dear All,

BEASTtools v1.0 is (finally!) available for download. It's just a small zip file which you unzip and then follow the instructions in the ReadMe file. You need Max 5 or Max Runtime (free from Cyling 74's web-site); it seems to run OK in Max 6 for those of you have already moved to that, but has not been thoroughly tested.

Have a great and productive 2012! And please feel free to contact us with any comments on BEASTtools.

Best wishes,

Jonty

Chers Amis,

Jonty

hi everyone,
do you know if a new release is in the making? there's nothing that resembles beastTools as an alternative that i know of.
I have the old version but can't seem to be able to run it anymore. Any help or advice would be appreciated!

Best regards,
Nuno Cortez
