Hello,

We are looking for participants to take part in a study about sound perception. The experiment takes approximately 60 minutes and involves rating the perceived degree of blend between concurrent sounds. The experiment takes place in the Centre for Interdisciplinary Research in Music Media & Technology (CIRMMT) in the Elizabeth Wirth Building (527 Sherbrooke Street West), on Level -2.

You must meet all the following criteria to participate in the study:

  • You are a musician with at least 10 years of musical training.
  • You have normal hearing.
  • You are at least 18 years of age.

If you meet the above criteria, please use the following link to schedule an appointment:

Or contact noa....@mail.mcgill.ca . You will receive $15 for your participation.

This work is supervised by Prof. Catherine Guastavino (catherine....@mcgill.ca) from McGill’s School of Information Studies and has been approved by the McGill research ethics board (REB #21-03-017). Your confidentiality and anonymity for serving in this experiment will be protected.
