As incoming Editor in Chief of Psychology in the Schools, I invite colleagues to apply to be members of the incoming Editorial Board.
As an Editor and Senior Editor of International Science across the past 27 years (The California School Psychologist - CASP / Springer - 1999-2009, now the Contemporary School Psychology journal; School Psychology quarterly - APA, 2012-2016, 2016-2021; School Psychology Review - NASP / T&F, 2020-2025), and having worked with 11 early career SPR editorial fellows across the past 5 years, I am committed to providing opportunities and supports to further develop the knowledge and skills of colleagues who have ambitions to contribute to the peer review process.

Established in 1964, Psychology in the Schools is
a peer-reviewed journal devoted to scholarship advancing the practice
of school psychology. The journal welcomes original research focusing on
the issues confronting school psychologists in preschool through secondary / high school. Preference
will be given to manuscripts that clearly describe implications for the practice of school psychology. The journal currently publishes 12 issues each year, featuring over 240 articles. As Psychology in the Schools incoming Editor, I invite colleagues to apply to contribute as members of the Editorial Board.
Editorial Board Membership and Responsibilities
I am establishing a highly qualified Editorial Board that further advances diversity in the scholarly review and publication process. Diversity is broadly defined, including but not limited to: age, disability, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, language, national origin, race, religion, culture, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, as well as the intersections of these, and in areas of specialization, methodology, theoretical perspectives, geographic location, and professional roles (e.g., faculty and practitioners). The duties and duration of each of the roles of members of the Psychology in the Schools Editorial Board is outlined below.
