Kathmandu has been a dreamland for many citizens to inhabit. The rich cultural diversity and the beauty of this city are ever luring people worldwide to visit at least once in their life time.

 

Have you ever wondered when Kathmandu city is founded?

The oldest script dates to 400 AD during Lichhavi period. Kathmadu city was founded on 724 AD by King Gunakamadev. But the Mahabharat text has it that King Yalember of Kathmandu valley also took part in the war of Kaurave and Pandavas, denoting human activities for more than 2700 years before.
