Big Apple Workshop AND Flash Mob for the 1940s Ball!
Get ready to swing into the spotlight! Join our 3-week Big Apple Dance Workshop and learn the iconic swing-era line dance! The Big Apple is a high-energy social line dance choregraphed by Frankie Manning and was performed by Whitey’s Lindy Hoppers in the 1939 film, Keep Punching. Known for its synchronized movement and infectious spirit, it is a true staple of the swing community, spanning generations of Lindy Hoppers! Taught by Lark Mervine over the course of 3 weeks (6 total workshop hours), you’ll learn the historic Big Apple routine, culminating in the opportunity to perform in a flash mob to live music by the legendary Glenn Miller Orchestra at the 1940s Ball on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the Boulder Municipal Airport!* Workshop Details  Denver Turnverein, 1570 N Clarkson St, Denver, CO 80218
