I'm trying to add a CDS Service to the sandbox at sandbox.cds-hook.org.  Steps :

1>> I click on CDS Services->Add CDS Service-> I got confirmation it's added (and I see the request to my server)
2>> But I don't subsequently see it in the select a service drop down.
3>> I've also tried deleting the other services (in configure CDS Services) but when I do that I'm just left with the error :
4>> No CDS Services configured for this hook (and the url still points to "hook": "patient-view" after the hashtag

(If anyone would like a screenshot I'd be happy to share)

My expectation, maybe my expectations/assumptions are incorrect :

1>> Add CDS Service >> Get confirmation it's added
2>> See the new service added in the service drop down

Thank you in advance,
Ed

Hi Ed,

Can you take a look in your browser's developer tools to see what the status is of the network request to your CDS Service? My guess is that there is an error being thrown.

Chrome: View>Developer>Developer Tools>Network tab
Firefox: Tools>Web Developer>Network
Safari: Develop>Show Web Inspector>Network
IE: Press F12 key>Network

Kevin

Ed,

You and I have been discussing this via email as well. Let's move that conversation here also. What we've learned so far is that your service discovery is specifying a hook value of 'statin-recommendations'. My suggestion would be to have your service discovery specify one of the sandbox supported hooks (patient-view, medication-prescribe, or order-review). More information on the supported hooks is available at http://cds-hooks.org/hooks/

Please report back if you continue to see this problem after changing your service discovery.

Thank you!

Hi Kevin, Matt -

It was indeed a user error, I was sending a "hook" other than the permitted values.  I have changed it to "patient-view" and now am able to see it in the drop down.  If you'd like, I can make a feature request (check to make sure the hook is one of the allowable values).

but it was a user error

Thank you,
Ed

I'm glad you were able to figure out the issue, Ed! We actually already have an issue logged against the Sandbox to allow for arbitrary hooks. :-)

Best,
Kevin
