Hey everyone!

The CDS Hooks team has been hard at work readying CDS Hooks to be submitted to HL7 for Standard for Trial Use (STU) and we're all set for the May 2018 HL7 ballot cycle! You can find the CDS Hooks ballot content at http://cds-hooks.hl7.org/. The May 2018 ballot will be open from April 6th thru May 7th.

The following pages are normative track content:
In other words, please spend extra care reviewing those two pages as they are the most important. Other pages (such as the Overview, Examples, and Quick Start) are informative content intended to provide supplemental documentation. You are more than welcome to provide comments on those supplemental pages as well.

Ballot comments can be submitted per normal HL7 processes. For those of you who are HL7 members, you likely are already aware of that process.

Additionally, we encourage you to submit each distinct comment as a GitHub issue logged to our source repository at cds-hooks/docs. If you can, please attach the ballot label to your issue (see GitHub's documentation on attaching labels). Please make sure to browse our existing issues before logging new issues.

If you don't have a GitHub account or don't want to submit your comment as a GitHub issue, that's fine! We'll do it for you once we receive your comments. :-) Basically, every ballot comment is going to have a corresponding Github issue.

Not an HL7 member? That's fine! You can still submit feedback via our Github issues.

All discussion and resolution of ballot comments will be communicated in an open manner via our GitHub issues, in addition to the process required by HL7. Any discussions that occur in an offline forum (HL7 working group meetings, conference calls, etc), will be communicated here on our mailing list and Zulip chat #cds-hooks stream. Summaries of these offline discussions will be posted on each GitHub issue.

Have a happy holiday weekend everyone and thanks for being a part of the CDS Hooks community!

Best,
Kevin
