Error handling in CDS Hooks

We are implementing CDS Hooks on a clinical intelligence service and need the ability to provide error handling for different parameters of the service, such as request processing, subscription management, rule set and rule execution. The 1.0 specification does not really address error handling. What is the current standard for error handling in CDS Hooks and what other approaches are being considered?

Hi Julie!

If you haven't found Github Issue #14 yet, read through the discussion there as it relates to your questions here. There are several layers to this topic so it would be best to articulate the error scenarios you are thinking of and who each scenario would ideally be handled/communicated. This will help us determine how best to put this guidance into the spec. If you could put that as a comment into the Github Issue that would be much appreciated!
