What is the difference between this google group and the CDPUG Blog?

Or why do we have two groups?

Or, is this the group for discussion, whereas, the Blog is for posting
information, not discussion.

I posted on a blog an item for discussion: what are your favorite work-
related apps for your iPad. And, what other fun useful apps do you
use.

For example, I have found that shows me what I am eating, on a daily
basis, toward my 2,000 calorie diet, which I am using to lower my
glucose and cholesterol.
