Health Research Incorporated., a not-for-profit corporation, seeks an
experienced professional to serve as System & Application
Administrator III or IV in Menands, NY.

The incumbent will:
· Maintain system availability for critical processes, including
payroll, check processing and federal reporting.
· Create Crystal Reports and dashboard designs for Business Objects
Edge.
· Participate in multi-disciplinary project teams.
· Serve as a Web Application Server Administrator.
· Support application programmers working with Java and PowerBuilder
by resolving and troubleshooting issues.
· Manage the design, testing, and operation of programs that transfer
and transform data between different computer systems, both internal
and external.
· Work with end-users to troubleshoot and resolve system problems.
· Serve as an Informix, Sybase, Oracle and MySQL Database
Administrator.
· Serve as an Solaris Systems Administrator
· Comply with funding requirements such as time and effort reporting.

The higher level position will involve additional responsibilities and
greater autonomy.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field plus 3 years
of experience (4 years for Grade M25)
· Experience must include designing Crystal Reports, and programming
with Java or other similar language.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with: Administration of Symantec Netbackup, FileNet P8
administration, Database Administration with a major DBMS, Unix
Systems Administration, XML and XML Schema, Junit, Hibernate,
Tapestry, JSF, Subversion, Glassfish, and Netbeans Experience with
accounting system software.
