L'organiste de l'église Neue Kirche [J.S. Bach] est interrogé, et il lui est demandé où il est allé récemment si longtemps, et auprès de qui il en a demandé l'autorisation.
Ille : dit qu'il est allé à Lübeck pour y apprendre diverses choses relatives à son art, mais qu'il en avait auparavant demandé l'autorisation à Monsieur le Surintendant.
Dominus superintendans déclare qu'il n'avait demandé que quatre semaines et qu'il est resté quatre fois aussi longtemps.
Ille : dit espérer que l'orgue a été tenu entre-temps par celui qu'il avait désigné à cet effet, de telle manière qu'il ne puisse y a avoir aucune plainte.
Nos : avons répondu qu'il faisait depuis ce voyage d'étonnantes variations dans ses chorals, qu'il y mêlait des accords étranges, de telle sorte que la communauté en était fort troublée.
The organist of the Neue Kirche church [J.S. Bach] is questioned, and he is asked where he went for so long recently, and from whom he got permission for this.

Ille : says he hopes that the organ has been held in the meantime by the one he designated to that effect so that no complain was in order.
Nos : did answer that he was performing since that trip astonishing variations in his chorals, that he was mixing strange chords into them, so that the community was very much troubled.
