New FREE Continuing Education from MMWR and Medscape

Use of Toothpaste and Toothbrushing Patterns Among Children and Adolescents — United States, 2013–2016 CDC’s MMWR and Medscape are proud to introduce a new FREE continuing education (CE) activity. The goal is to describe toothbrushing practices among U.S. children and adolescents aged 3–15 years. A CDC analysis of 2013–2016 data is the basis of the activity. This CE activity is intended for pediatricians, family medicine practitioners, internists, nurses, pharmacists, public health officials, and other clinicians involved in pediatric dental hygiene. Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to  describe the age at which U.S. children begin brushing their teeth; describe toothpaste use by U.S. children and adolescents aged 3–years; and describe clinical implications of toothbrushing practices among U.S. children.
