To all interested Engineering and Architecture Firms:

The Athens County Commissioners intend to contract for architectural and engineering services in connection with the following projects being funded in full or in part by Community Development Block Grant Program funds.

  1. Federal Valley Resource Center, Neighborhood Facility Improvements: obtain mold remediation plan and plaster repairs.

Total Project Budget: $27,300

  1. Bern Township, Street Improvements: pave/resurface approximately 800 LF of Philipsburg Rd. 

Total Project Budget: $54,500

  1. Village of Trimble, Street Improvements: pave/resurface approximately 1,100 linear feet of Terrace Dr

Total Project Budget: $45,800

  1. Waterloo Township, Flood & Drainage Improvements: install approximately 2,115 cubic yards of fill dirt, 1,040 LF of storm sewer, and 2 catch basins/culverts.

Total Project Budget: $94,700

  1. Waterloo Township, Parks & Rec. Improvements: install approximately 4 pieces of playground equipment.

Total Project Budget: $11,600

  1. Waterloo Township, Sidewalk Improvements: install approximately 600 LF of sidewalk near Railroad St. 

Total Project Budget: $32,300

  1. Waterloo Township, Street Improvements: pave approximately 2,900 LF of streets in the Village of New Marshfield. 

Total Project Budget: $135,900

The Architecture/Engineering scope of work will include project design, preparation of bidding specifications and drawings, review of bids, pre- and post- construction meetings, construction oversight as required, and obtaining all necessary permits.  The grant administrator will prepare the bidding/construction documents as specified in RFQ Packet.  Project schedules and additional project-specific requirements are included in the full application.  Applications may be obtained by contacting the Community Development Division at Hocking Athens Perry Community Action at 740-767-4500.  Applications may also be downloaded at www.hapcap.org/cdbgbidprojects

Statements of qualifications are due January 29, 2016 @ 4 PM to Hocking.Athens.Perry Community Action (Attn: CDBG) 3 Cardaras Drive/ P.O. Box 22O Glouster, OH 45732. As required by Ohio Revised Code 153.65-71, firms will be evaluated and ranked in order of their qualifications based on the evaluation factors listed in the full application.  Representatives of Athens County will enter into contract negotiations with the most highly qualified firm.  Please submit separate proposals for each project that your firm is interested in. Please also state the amount of time that your firm believes would be necessary to have project(s) designed and ready to bid after initial date of Architectural / Engineering contract begins.
