Amy, an aerobic dance instructor with commitment issues, is surprised to get a wedding invitation from her childhood friend, Caleb, since she and Caleb grew apart during middle and high school. Once an awkward kid, Caleb is now filthy rich and marrying Lilith at an exclusive mountain venue somewhere in Europe.
I love libraries! I worked in the Boulder and Austin library systems while I earned my second Master's to become a "real" librarian. From then on I worked in public, private, and most recently school libraries in Carson City, Boulder, and Denver. I have a passion for books, writing, and clearly, the paranormal. I love to read, bake, bike, kickbox, watch scary movies, kill zombies (mostly in video games), and play with my dogs!
As for me, I flipped through a handful of wedding books and got overwhelmed by the minutiae. We ended up getting married on our five-year anniversary at one of our favorite restaurants with only our immediate family present, with two close friends officiating and photographing. It was perfect.
From the creator of the most comprehensive website for LGBTQ wedding planning, equallywed.com, this book covers it all. Kirsten Ott Palladino walks us through every aspect of the wedding day, from incorporating hot trends to dealing with homophobic family members. Equally Wed is special in its complete absence of heteronormative language. Because weddings are for everyone.
The Offbeat Bride is perfect for anyone not following the patriarchal, heteronormative traditions around weddings. Ariel Meadow Stallings shares the story of her own nontraditional wedding and offers advice from others who said no thank you to a garter toss.
In One Perfect Day, Rebecca Mead digs in to the wedding industry and all its glitz and glory. With investigative journalism and social commentary, she interviews wedding planners, employees of department stores with wedding registries, and, of course, wedding dress designers to get the inside scoop on why weddings are so lavish.
Carolina Santos is a top-tier wedding planner in D.C. and lands a major client. The downside? She has to work with the brother of the groom who left her at the altar. She and Max both need this client to further their careers, so they bite the bullet and shoot daggers with their eyes instead. But then there are sparks between them. And we all know how that goes.
Although weddings were not necessarily followed by a celebratory meal, the wedding cake was the centrepiece of any Regency wedding. The recipe made for a rich and dense confection, packed with dried fruit and a fair bit of alcohol, not unlike the Christmas pudding already popular at the time. The wedding cake was cut and distributed to friends, family and neighbours, and would keep for ages, if not consumed immediately after the ceremony.
If you are a woman who finds herself trapped in the world of verbal pornography, please hear me: romance novels are killing the romance that God designed to be exclusively between a husband and his wife.
Eventually, just like the character in Fireproof, we each have a choice to make. We can continue justifying our actions and trade real life for the world of romance novels, or we can name sin as sin, throw the books away, and become the leading ladies in the stories of our lives as God designed.

It Had to Be You intermixes the love stories of several members of a wedding planning group, along with their clients (and maybe even a guest or two) in a romantic comedic fashion. It begins at a wedding gone wrong, where a middle-aged Liv learns that her business partner (and husband) has abruptly died.
The Unhoneymooners is one of my favorite love stories that will remind you of your favorite romantic comedy movies. Olive is the perpetually unlucky twin sister. Naturally, her sister, Ami, is about to have her dream wedding for free.
As Olive spends the wedding day with the unlikeable best man, Ethan, the remainder of the wedding party gets food poisoning, in a truly hilarious sequence of events. What remains from this disaster is an all-expenses-paid honeymoon that the happy couple is too sick to attend.
I'm a reader of 100+ books per year, I studied English literature, and I've been on The Today Show's Read with Jenna Book Club, Read with Jenna Book Club, Buzzfeed, The Atlantic, Esquire, Mashable, The Everygirl, Glamour, Parents, and more. My essay was published in the book But I'm a Gilmore!
Try as I might to forget I still remember every detail of my wedding day. Sipping from a flute of champagne with my bridesmaids at our house on Monument Avenue while we had our hair and makeup done. The way my hands shook when I was helped into THE DRESS. How fast my heart beat on the way to the church. The way my pulse skittered while the 150 guests were escorted to their seats as the string ensemble played.
As other women look up, I thank my lucky stars that I put on makeup and washed my hair today. Writing is not the glamorous profession people think it is. In fact, authors spend long periods of time alone, unwashed, and on deadline. Grooming and hygiene can take a distant second to word count.
I was supposed to come to New York with Brianna, my best friend in the world; a friend who felt more like a sister from the day we met in kindergarten and discovered we were born on the same day. (We were both wearing paper crowns at the time.)
7. Both Lauren and Bree are writers, but they have pursued their writing careers very differently. Why do you think that is? Do you have any interest in writing a book? Do you think you would approach it more like Lauren or Bree?
"I ordered this book to use as the guestbook for my wedding, and to keep as a coffee table book after the wedding. I am thrilled with how it turned out! The pages are thick, the photos are high quality, and the foiling/cover is stunning. Would highly recommend!"
"We used our lay flat photo album to make the most amazing wedding guest book we could have asked for! We left a few blank pages here and there for guests to sign, and the end result was magical. We also placed our order last minute before a holiday weekend and the book still arrived on time."
"We ordered this as our wedding guest book, and we couldn't be happier with the quality. The paper and photos turned out so beautifully, and the book arrived much more quickly than expected. We also appreciate the affordable price because other companies with almost the exact same product (but less pages!) turned out to be closer to $400.... we are so happy we went with Social Print Studio and we can't wait for our wedding guests to see the book! We will definitely be purchasing from this site again."
"I almost bought another brand's version of this for 4X the cost, and was blown away by the quality of this one. The hardcover and foil lettering is gorgeous and the photo print quality is amazing. Love it!"
I'm making a Wedding Guest Book, what kind of pen/marker can I use to write in it?
For writing on these semi-glossy pages, we suggest using a fine-tipped permanent marker. Specific pens we recommend:
What does the inside cover look like?
There are two textured pages that are on the inside front cover and the opposite page. The first photo page (page 1) is on the following page.
What is the difference between a Wedding Guest Book, the Wedding Layflat Photo Album, or the regular Layflat Photo Album product?
The books are the same premium product, but the design process is slightly different for each one. The Wedding Guest Book is pre-formatted with specific templates and layouts to make designing your perfect guest book even easier, with plenty of space for guests to sign.
Can Instagram Photos be used for these books?
We don't recommend using Instagram photos in our Layflat Photo Albums. They will be printed with a large amount of white space around them because the image size is too small to be printed full bleed.
If you would like to print your Instagram photos, there are some grid page options (website only) that have small enough grids to facilitate the smaller Instagram file size. We recommend these grid options for smaller social media photos as printing them full bleed can result in pixelated pages. If you are ordering from our apps please use the original files rather than these smaller Instagram photos.
Can I print my title in another language?
We can only print English characters for foil-stamped titles. The preview may show non-English characters but our script cannot understand them. Non-English characters will be printed as a "?". If you are using the app, please only use English characters for your titles and captions if you are ordering a dust jacket. Emojis or non-English characters will not print. All characters will print in dustcover titles made using the website.
As a kid, my cousins forced me to watch The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. That led down the slippery slope of reading the books, writing fanfiction, and starting what would become my Argetallam Saga.
Eventually, I was fortunate enough to get a scholarship that allowed me to attend Concordia University Texas. I graduated with a degree no one can pronounce in a field no one cares about. A family of ravens lived on the roof of my dorm and I liked to imagine they were my acolytes, but let's be real, I was theirs.
