Invitation for participation in Train the Trainer (Offline) workshop on ICT Accessibility and Standards” on 1-2 December, 2022

Greetings of the day!
As you are aware, nationwide adoption of
ICT solutions is happening in an accelerated manner to
realize the vision of Digital India. In this context,
enablement of Accessibility in ICT Products and Services is
essential to serve the needs of people with disabilities
(PwDs), senior citizens and those with temporary and
situational disabilities.
With the above goal, Indian standards
“Accessibility for ICT Products and Services” Part I
Requirements (IS 17802 Part 1): 2021 and Part II
Determinants of Conformance (IS 17802 Part 2): 2022 have
been published and gazetted by Bureau of Indian Standards
(BIS) on December 24, 2021 and May 10, 2022 respectively and
enabled by Centre for Development of Advanced Computing
(C-DAC). As a part of this initiative, C-DAC is organizing
various workshops for awareness and capacity building. In
continuation of this, a “Train the Trainers” workshop
(in-person) on “ICT Accessibility and Standards” is being
organized by C-DAC, Mumbai during December 01-02, 2022.
Target audience for this
workshop include UI/UX designers, developers, testers,
providers/suppliers of products, services & solutions,
decision makers and procurement officials, third party
agencies involved in testing and conformance and members
of academia.
We cordially invite you to participate
in the above-mentioned workshop being conducted during December
1-2, 2022, from 10:00 A.M. onwards. We also welcome
you to nominate other members from your organization to
register and attend the same.
There are no participation fees for the workshop.
