Mozilla -- the community of people behind the Firefox web browser --
has launched a project called Mozilla Service Week. During the week of
September 14-21, Mozilla will mobilize its community to help non-
profits, social entrepreneurs, and community groups meet their
technology needs. Potential service projects include web design,
social media consulting, IT consulting, technology needs assessment,
and translation.
We are reaching out to CTCs as natural partners with Mozilla Service
Week. If your CTC could use technology volunteers, please go to
http://mozillaservice.org to apply. You can also join the Friends of
Mozilla Service Week listserv here:
https://mail.mozilla.org/listinfo/mozservice-friends
Please let me know if you have any questions. We look forward to
hearing from you and hope you'll join us.
Thanks,
Mike Everett-Lane
Consultant, Social Actions
P.S. On Thursday, July 16th at 5:00pm BST / 12:00pm EDT / 9:00am PDT,
we will host a conference call about this opportunity for current and
potential Friends of Mozilla Service Week. I'll follow up in the
coming days with the call-in details.
