CDAA Digital Excellence Coalition Hosts Meeting, Launching In Conjunction With One Web Day, Chicago South Side Technology Plan

MEETING ANNOUNCEMENT

The Chicago Digital Access Alliance (CDAA) Digital Excellence Coalition is hosting an informational meeting on Thursday, September 17, 2009 in the Community Room at Woodlawn East Community And Neighbors, Inc.'s Butler-Lindon Apartments, 6146 South Kenwood Avenue from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. The CDAA Digital Excellence Coalition is supporting One Web Day September 22, 2009 in Chicago and has launched the South Side Technology Plan, a comprehensive digital infrastructure development initiative covering ten (10) Chicago South Side neighborhoods.

The CDAA is organizing the Digital Excellence Coalition to engage residents, organizations, businesses and institutions in a citywide emphasis as a national model on the concepts of digital excellence which the CDAA championed and promoted in Chicago and across the country.

Activities promoted by the Coalition include (1) the Digital Excellence Road Show spotlighting institutions that are examples of digital excellence in practice and philosophy, (2) the Digital Excellence Institute, a national digital excellence best practices advocate, (3) Digital Access Update, the newsletter; and (4) the Digital Excellence Conference And Technology Fair, a one-day conference in Chicago scheduled for May, 2010.
