Hello,

I was wondering if the Condor Log Analyzer (http://condorlog.cse.nd.edu/) is still actively maintained so that I can direct our HTCondor users to it?

I have tried to upload some log files to it, and in a couple of cases it has worked fine, but other log files simply fail to be parsed properly and I get the error:

"Sorry, there was an error processing your data."

One such example is:

Hello Angel -

So, what I discovered is that this log file has some corrupted lines.  A few lines have (usually invisible) null characters at the beginning, and a few lines are missing some leading characters.

I don't know if this is caused by HTCondor or some other problem.  What version of HTCondor are you using?

In any case, I adjusted the parser to fix or ignore these categories of errors, and your log file does get processed now, albeit with the corrupted lines ignored:

If you have difficulty with any others, please let me know which specific ones
and we can have a look.

Sincerely,
Doug

thanks for looking into this.

Our HTCondor versions are 10.0.1 2023-01-05 (master) and 9.12.0
2022-10-05 (scheduler).

Thanks, I will try these days with other log files and will report back
if something is not working as it should.
