Join the Sahana Software Foundation for SahanaCamp LA to be
held on October 24-25 at the City of Los Angeles’ Emergency
Operations Center Media Center Conference Room.
SahanaCamp LA is a free 2-day program designed to
provide individuals and organizations with an understanding of the
needs for managing information in response to disasters paired with
a practical technical workshop to provide instruction in how Sahana
Software can be deployed within and across organizations.
We have previously organized SahanaCamps in India, Vietnam, Taiwan and Portugal - all with great affect and impact. Most recently, after attending our SahanaCamp@ISCRAM in Lisbon this past May, the Portuguese National Volunteer Firefighting Association (Bombeiros) has been deploying Sahana Software as a national coordinating system for their organization with the assistance of the Sahana Software Foundation. We hope to forge similar partnerships in Southern California through this program.
During SahanaCamp LA , we will be using our Sahana Eden Open Source Emergency Management Platform to explore solutions for the Los Angeles region, including needs for: volunteer management, donations management, registering organizations, asset management, inventory management, request management, project tracking and assessments.
I am attaching a brief flyer about the event with additional information.
