I have a big favor to ask... I planned my family vacation around the original August 16 orientation date. I called the office several times to make sure that nothing was going on the week before school. The day after I booked flights for my family, I received the e-mail that they moved the date to August 21. I panicked and called the office, and was told they would get me the information I needed. Based on the orientation in April, I cannot imagine how that will happen, since there was no powerpoint or handouts. So, I am asking if any of you would mind sharing your notes with me after orientation--maybe scanning and e-mailing or something? I don't return until Saturday the 24th, so I won't be able to pick any materials up before classes begin on the 26th. I really would appreciate any information you could pass on to me--I am very nervous about missing this. Thanks so much!!!!!

No problem, Elizabeth! I would be happy to send you all the info we get from the orientation. I was told that this second orientation would mostly be a chance for us to meet our instructors, so it's entirely possible there won't be much to pass on (although I was told this at the beginning of the summer, who knows if it's still accurate). Don't worry! They may be disorganized, but they also seem like they're trying to be fairly flexible and sensitive to our needs.

I will see if I can get a second copy of everything - and if they will let me, I will record the audio on my iPad or else on my sony digital recorder (it makes MP3s), and post it here for you.
