I’ve been an IT professional for an x amount of years specializing in
Microsoft backend technologies such as SQL Server 2005, 2008, R2.
• Throughout my experience I gained extensive hands on in designing,
implementing, optimizing, and maintaining several relational databases
that vary in size in support of several organizations and domains
• Throughout my experience I have always been supporting and array of
database driven applications by creating several database objects that
vary in complexity and logic such as stored procedures.,…
• In my last few projects (or almost most of my projects) I’ve been
extensively engaged in business intelligence system development where
I gained extensive experience and knowledge in designing analytical,
relational, and OLAP databases. I gained an excellent experience
designing and implementing, as well as optimizing, managing ETL
packages that enforced an ETL strategy designed by the team and the
architect
• I have an excellent hands-on experience auditing, securing, and
deploying ETL packages, using several techniques based on the
project , the infrastructure and the business logic, and political
constraints
• I consider my OLAP experience to be the crown jewel of my business
intelligence skill set because I have extensively designed several
OLAP cubes and support of Ad-hoc reporting including the design of
cube objects such as measures of different type and granularity,
calculations that may differ in logic and complexity, and KPIs that
vary in objective and defer based on the audience. I’ve also been
involved in the design and optimization of several dimensions and
applied business intelligence logic to these dimensions.
• I have extensive experience in optimizing the performance of OLAP
databases using partitioning techniques, manipulating storage modes,
and designing aggregations. I have also been involved in the process
scheduling of analysis services cubes either in an interval or real-
time. Last but not least I’ve been involved in the creation of several
report types…. To answer vital business questions.
