Hi Herb,

The jar file is not meant to be extracted or executed. It can be referenced from Java project and used like a library. In the current release of the framework there is an example project included, which illustrates how to create a simple agent from the framework. Try to load this project in your IDE, make the project reference the LIDA framework jar and all the other jars included in the distribution. In the example project there is a class a main method that starts things up. Hope this helps.

All the best,

Ryan

Hi Ryan,

I'm not quite set up on Google+ yet, so I hope it's OK if I ask you directly whether it's fatal that I get "no main manifest attribute, in C: ... \lida-framework-v1.2b.jar" when I type java -jar C:\ ...\lida-framework-v1.2b.jar. As you can guess, I'm in the Command Prompt window under Win 8.1. Or am I going about it the hard way?

Thanks for your help before. I'm a big fan of the articles & theses which have come out of your Memphis group.

Best,

Hi Herb,

Thanks for letting us know. I was able to download it, perhaps it was an isolated incident. I've attached the PDF in case you're still having trouble.

Best,

Ryan

After downloading the LIDA Framework v1.2b yesterday, I began reading through the LIDA Tutorial here:

Today I find only a blank page. Could you check whether everything is OK at your end? There is no indication of a connectivity problem.

Thanks!
