Summary

  • Relaxes the Hessian_diagonal_test tolerance from 1% to 2% to fix CI failure
  • The one-sided finite difference approximation has O(eps) truncation error, which can exceed 1% depending on the dataset and platform

Related issues

  • Fixes test failure in #1370

Testing performed

  • Reproduced the CI failure locally using the exact CI dataset (SIRF_data submodule at 8bf9b6d)
  • Confirmed all 249 tests pass with the relaxed tolerance
