Baptism Ministry

Hello Tony & Monique,

Happy New Year again to you and your family.  We do hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year!

Before our Christmas Concert, Monique had expressed maybe an interest in joining us in the Baptism Ministry.  If so, Phil & I will be leading again this year's January Baptism.  If you are still interested and we hope you do consider, please join us and shadow us this Sunday, January 5th at St. Augustines Hall Room 4/5 at 7-9pm.  This will be an opportunity for both of you to see and feel if this is a ministry you may want to volunteer. 

It entails 2-3 months per year commitment amongst other Baptism Team members.  So for example, if you choose a month, there will be 2 hours during the first meeting , usually Sunday evening.  The 2nd class entails  following Sunday attending a mass with the families and assist the Presider during the Rite of Welcoming and immediately followed by a lunch and then 1 1/2 hour 2nd part of the Baptism session.  The third part  is the following Sunday and that is the Baptism Ceremony.

Based on our years of commitment in the different spiritual ministries, this is one of the most rewarding!  We hope and pray you will consider it.  Please let us know if you will be attending this Sunday, Jan 5th at 7pm over at St. Augustines Hall.  That way I will provide a procedure book for you to follow as we go along the session.   Then you will be talking to Fr. Paul before officially joining our team.  Take care and hope to hear from both of you.
