Hi everyone,

I can’t tell if the One Earth Film Festival will have virtual film screenings this year. It was great during the pandemic to screen films from home since I’m not in Chicago.

If films aren’t virtual, it could be a project to work on to bring environmental films to CU. I would be interested in attending, but admit I’m limited on ability to spend time to organize events.

Best,

Stacy

OFFICIAL TRAILER:
Octopus: Making Contact

Sunday, March 6, 3 p.m. Central Standard Time

FILM DESCRIPTION: The octopus may be the closest we get to meeting an alien. They evolved from a common cousin more than 500 million years ago and have proven themselves as intelligent creatures with problem-solving abilities. So what happens when you invite an eight-legged alien into your living room? This documentary follows marine biologist David Scheel as he tracks his evolving relationship with an octopus.

Toni Anderson, Consciousness Engineer, Urban Ecologist, Freedom Curator, Founder Sacred Keepers Sustainability Lab & Mindful Rant, will facilitate an intriguing panel discussion with Eve Barrs, Senior Aquarist, Shedd Aquarium and Dr. Nevada Winrow, President, Black Girls Dive.

I feel I’ve lost the thread on CCnet.  Shall we have an organizer’s lunch soon?  Next week, I only have time Monday and Friday.

Thanks!

Scott

Scott, were you available this first Friday, March 4?
I like the idea of going back to Friday lunch as I’m usually free then.

And now I can’t make 3/11.  Sorry, out of town funeral.  Enjoy without me.  Feel free to slot a Geothermal Power Hour in the fall.
