Tuesday Night Meeting

To all of those new to the CCNA study group:


There are several study groups going around the DFW area. If you live
or work in the Irving, Flower Mound, Lewisville, HEB or surrounding
areas, here's where we are meeting on Tuesday night:

The Boston's Pizza is located directly accross from the TGI Friday's
on the other side of 635. They are much quieter and have Wi-Fi.
We'll meet there at 6:00pm. I hope we can have a
good turn out for Tuesday night!



You will need your ICND1 book and anything else you may want to bring
to study. This will be the initial meeting for this group and we'll
discuss what we will be going over. Bring your thinking caps, if you
have any great ideas, let's hear them.

I recommend searching sites like yahoo, google groups or http://www.meetup.com/

for other local CCNA groups.

I would start looking around on the web to see if there are any groups in your area like DFWCUG and maybe start something there.  You are more than welcome to you join our google group to maybe get an idea of how we are doing ours here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.  We pretty much use the google group to set up meeting times and pass along information regarding studies, tips on taking the tests as well as communication within the group. 

 

But hey, I've been to New Jersey and I had a blast there!  Great Pizza btw and close to Philly with them cheese steaks!!!  ok...I'm hungry again.

Thanks a ton for such a warm reply. Also when i searched for DFWCUG in yahoo i could find one regarding CCNA. Hope thats the one you talking about.Thanks again. Also i am just curious about it as i am new to this field i have been closely watching activity here in the group from  past few weeks here i are only find threads regarding meeting and all. Is it like can't we ask direct question here? Is it that you ppl too are appearing for exams or you all are some kinda instructor? Also attending such meetings are they paid?

Well to answer your questions, none of us are instructors of Cisco.  We are just a bunch of router jockeys that are trying to get our CCNA's CCNP's etc.  We don't get paid by the group, but we do share tons of information and help each other out with questions when the arise.  If you have any questions, feel free to ask the group or you can PM me directly or anyone in the group for assistance.  Trust me, there's at least one person here that will know the answer.

 

And there are no stupid questions,.....

Can we bring switch into the pizza place for next tuesday? I have
3750G running ip - we have 24 ports to play with and run routing on it
also.??? Let me know if we have power etc. etc.
