Hi everyone,

This is a call for volunteers to help with the Fossil of the Day awards at the upcoming Cancun COP.

Every year, members of the Climate Action Network hold a daily awards ceremony for the Fossil of the Day: an award given to the countries who do the most to delay progress at the negotiations that day. Previous COPs have seen the FOTDs become quite a spectacle with singing, dancing and comedy and a large part of that is down to the energy that the youth have invested in it.

If you’re going to Cancun, and looking to have an experience which not only is guaranteed fun, but also gives you a fantastic exposure to the negotiations and the NGO world, helping with the awards is for you! Specifically we need:

*Great writers to help write scripts, press releases etc…

*Good performers – singers, MCs, etc

*Creative folks who can design and build props

*Crowd ralliers!

All are welcome, and lots are needed!

There’ll be an announcement at the COY meeting this weekend, so look out for that if you want to get involved. And if you can’t make it to the COY meeting, but think you’d still like to help out shoot me and Kevin Buckland an email off list: ia...@avaaz.org ke...@350.org

I second that! This is the biggest thing the Climate Action Network-International (CAN-I) does every day and it is hugely respected and effective! Naming and shaming is the game!
