Hey climate champions!
COP16 has come to its conclusion, and we have all returned to our homes across the United States. With a Republican majority in the House and many state congresses, there has never been a more critical time to strategize about ways to reach out across the political spectrum and really turn this momentum that we have created into a powerful movement.
Here is the link to the Doodle:
http://www.doodle.com/u9tqa27eahub5dihHere is the framework for an agenda, but please feel free to add anything that you would like to discuss:
1) How to we link messaging from the UNFCCC process into the overall US Youth Climate strategy?
2) Show Me The Democracy Campaign: ways to link into it & get $ for events/ be on the core organizing team
3) Reaching out to conservatives
4) Events to link into (feel free to add to this):
- April Climate Justice Rallies
- May 8 iMatter Rallies
- Show Me The Democracy Meetings w/ Legislators (national & state)
5) Potential Alliances: i.e. Greenpeace, NRDC, Sierra Club, Will Steger Foundation, etc.
You all rock! Which is why you should be sure to be on this call ;)
Peace,
Reed Aronow
