Dear Nidhish

As discussed with you, I am Mayank, an alumnus of IIM Calcutta, batch of 2010. After successfully completing the launches at IIM Shillong, IIM Calcutta, FMS Delhi, MDI Gurgaon, IIM Indore and XIMB Bhubaneswar (interactive sessions where students enjoy as well as learn) seek to do so at IMT, Ghaziabad.

I have written a humourous book on the vagaries of sales through the eyes of a freshly recruited, super confident premier B-school grad, Rohit Salaria, who is grappling with the sudden changes the world of sales has brought into his life.

It is a sincere attempt (I'd like to believe!) to tickle your funny bone.

A brief summary of the book is:

The book 'Stop Me If You Can!' is a light-hearted description of the life of an IIM grad in sales. Rohit Salaria is a fresh graduate from one of the famed IIMs, and has just picked up a sales job with an MNC called ABC. For his first assignment he is posted in Hyderabad as a territory manager. He discovers the ever dynamic world of sales; the uncertainties and the complexities related to it. And then of course, there is that single most important corporate entity - boss.

But Salaria is different. Very different. Riding high on IIM credentials, the maverick in Salaria takes over as he devises his own methods to deal with situations around him. Salaria inspires his salesmen and peers. His bosses are in awe of him. His competitors want to kidnap him. Or so he thinks. Ahem.

Again, it is Salaria’s innovative approach and sheer self-belief that leads him to get a chance to be close to Priya, a girl he could have only dreamed of. He wants her badly. But the bigger questions still linger. Will he survive sales? Does Priya want him badly enough?

Join Salaria in this humor packed, blunder prone ride where logic takes a backseat. Laugh with him or laugh at him. Laugh you will.

The FB page of the book is (1800+ fans):

The book is currently available online and across top book stores in the country. The Flipkart link (it's got quite a few rave reviews):

I have started with a series of book launch events (for a select few top B-schools in the country) where I do the following and the students in general have a good time:
  • Answer questions on career options for students
  • Talk about my journey of writing the book and getting it published
Attached is a PPT with the flow of the event.

I would like to do a similar event for IMT, Ghaziabad on 28th November, anytime between 2 PM to 5 PM (the session duration will be 1 hour).

Let me know how we can plan this, the timelines are really short though. Thanks a ton!

Regards
Mayank
