Dear Prof. Siva Kumar,
USIEF is
happy to announce the U.S. Department of State funded 2021 Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) Program and invites applications from early
career English teachers teaching at college level or training to become teachers of English or professionals in related fields. Application
deadline for Indian candidates is August 28, 2020.
The purpose of the FLTA Program is to strengthen the instruction of foreign languages at U.S. colleges and universities while providing future teachers of English with the opportunity to refine their teaching skills, increase their English language proficiency and extend their knowledge of the cultures and customs of the United States. Selected FLTA fellows from India will teach Bengali, Hindi, or Urdu at select U.S. campuses during their nine-month, non degree grant beginning August/September 2021. Further details of the program are available at http://www.usief.org.in/Fellowships/Foreign-Language-Teaching-Assistant-Program.aspx.
For the benefit of the interested applicants, USIEF is hosting a Virtual Information session on FLTA program on Tuesday, August 4 from 4:00-5:00 p.m. The Session will provide information about various aspects of the program, including eligibility criteria, application deadlines, and grant benefits. The participants will also get a chance to ask questions and interact with the Fulbright Commission (USIEF) staff and an alumnus of the FLTA program. Please see attached the flyer for more details and register at: https://bit.ly/30xjhOt
Request you to please bring this information to the notice of interested scholars/applicants at your institution.
Thank you for your continued support for Fulbright programs!
Best regards,
Monika
