Citizens' Climate Lobby is endorsing the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act of 2019 currently in the U.S. Congress. We are also supportive of state efforts, including those in Oregon, to pass legislation that effectively prices green house gas emissions. Oregon Legislature’s Joint Committee on Carbon Reduction Hearing

House Bill  2020 2019 Clean Energy Jobs bill

Central Medford High School 815 South Oakdale Ave.

The Oregon Legislature’s Joint Committee on Carbon Reduction is hosting a hearing in Medford to hear what Southern Oregon communities think about statewide climate action. This hearing will focus on how Oregon can reach its climate goals as well as the Clean Energy Jobs Bill, which has been introduced as House Bill 2020. The largest utilities, fossil fuel corporations and polluters are hard at work trying to influence our elected leaders to block any climate action at the state level.

Please attend this hearing and tell this committee that Southern Oregon needs bold and immediate action to address the climate crisis.

Anyone can be heard at a public hearing. You simply sign up to testify. You’ll get 2-3 minutes in front of the Joint Committee’s members, including Senator Jeff Golden and Rep. Pam Marsh of Southern Oregon.
