This year’s program features the audience favorites from the nation’s premier environmental and adventure film festival, the 2026 Wild and Scenic Film Festival. The theme of the 2026 film festival is “Mobilize”.

Since our events are already on the Nextdoor events calendar (more than once, in fact), I think the thing to do is simply:

1) Find them on the Nextdoor calendar 

1) Indicate that you are “going” to both events

2) Repost them in your feed with a personal note, e.g. “I went to this last year and it was amazing!”

I think if each of us creates a new event, we’ll end up with even more redundant events on the calendar. 

Does that sound right?

Yes,  Mike. Very good way to increase awareness. I left comments on both the HEF and WSFF Event listings. There are now 3 posts for each of them, as you saw. 

BTW, I’ve received 4 or 5 registrations for the HEF through Luma. I’m sure these will increase as we get closer to the event. Same with Eventbrite, which has garnered about 25 registrants, very good since the event is still about a month off.
