Drs Johann and Praveen are members of the Mental Health Team at CMC Vellore, India and are primarily involved with the design, development and teaching of the Post Graduate Diploma in Mental Health (PGDMH) and the Certificate in Community Mental Health (CCMH). These are online distance learning courses for training doctors and other healthcare workers in mental health skills for primary care. They also help with the planning and running of several other courses run by the Distance Education unit at CMC. They love teaching together and designing and developing distance learning experiences.

Dr. Johann Alex Ebenezer did his MBBS from CMC Ludhiana and his MD in Psychiatry from Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore. He worked in Padhar Hospital, Madhya Pradesh, from 2014 to 2017, where he started a community mental health project called "Project Shifa" in 75 surrounding villages. Since then, he has been working with the Distance Education Unit at CMC Vellore.

Dr. Praveen Mathew Alexander did his MD in Physiology after his MBBS and he has an MSc in Neuroscience from Australia. He also works at the Distance Education Unit at CMC Vellore. His special interests are in designing and evaluating online and distance courses in medical subjects.
