Dear All,
Multi-stakeholder and civil society engagement is at the core of the Pandemic Fund grant development and implementation. The Pandemic Fund Civil Society Board Members prepared this information for the civil society organisations in the Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Zambia, Angola, Kenya, Ethiopia, Uganda and the Central African Republic.
1. Projects under Implementation (Ongoing): In the Democratic Republic of Congo, South Sudan, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Zambia, Angola, Kenya and Ethiopia:
Civil society organisations — delivery partners of Pandemic Fund projects — may contact Project Leads to contribute to the consultations that the Project Leads will undertake for the reprogramming. Such proposals should align with national response priorities, government-led coordination mechanisms, and the WHO-Africa CDC Continental plan.
Civil society organisations involved in Pandemic Fund project development, or those providing strong contributions to Bundibugyo virus response efforts, are encouraged to proactively reach out to the relevant partner ministries (e.g. Ministries of Health, Finance or Agriculture) or to the Implementing Entities involved in the projects.
Reach out to your contacts with concrete proposals on contributions to responding to the ongoing Ebola outbreak caused by the Bundibugyo virus as well as strengthening longer-term pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response capacities embedded within national and regional systems. To support this, the Pandemic Fund Civil Society Board Members have developed a proposal template in English, French and Portuguese. The template is available at this link.
Information about the projects can be found here.
