Dear colleagues and friends,
The PEPFAR – UNAIDS Faith Initiative is pleased to invite you to the Interfaith Health Platform and Academic Consortium webinar "
Capacity Strengthening of Faith Based Health Facilities to Increase Scope and Quality of HIV Care: Key Findings from Capacity Assessments" that will take place virtually on
24 October 2023 from 9 am to 10:30 am Atlanta; 3 pm to 4:30 pm Geneva; 4 pm to 5:30 pm Nairobi.
This webinar will summarize key findings from two capacity assessment studies of the Academic Consortium (St. Paul’s University, Kenya, and Emory University, U.S) of the PEPFAR – UNAIDS Faith Initiative. These assessments, carried out in Kenya, focused on:
- Capacities and gaps in HIV service delivery of faith-based providers
- Clinical knowledge and skills of HIV providers in faith-based facilities in offering best-practice clinical services to members of key populations groups.
Findings from a third study by a researcher in the Consortium conducted in South Africa will offer a comparison to the findings in Kenya. Following the presentations, the webinar will shift to a discussion of strategies and programmatic responses to the identified gaps.
