Position: Oracle DBA

Location: Augusta, ME

Duration: 12 Months

Start: ASAP

Interview: Phone, Test & F2F 

Rate: $55.00/hr all inclusive on CTC

 

NOTE: Must be a LOCAL (New England [Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut] candidate)

TEST REQUIRED:  DBA Test Required before being hired, will be done on-site here at the State of Maine.  Plan on the candidate interviewing for 1.5 - 2 hours.

 

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

·         Provide expertise/support to developers in upgrading applications to 11g.

·         Author scripts to perform backup, restore and monitoring tasks.

·         Perform performance tuning.

·         Provide status of work to Project Team Lead.

·         Mentor other team members.

·         Will be working on multiple projects.

·         OS:  Linux and Windows

 

PROGRAMMING LANG/DVLPMT TOOLS:  RMAN - backup/restores. Able to create/edit scripts in windows environment.

HARDWARE:  Oracle RAC - Windows.  Oracle RAC - Unix.

DB SYSTEMS/ TOOLS:   Oracle 11g

FRAMEWORKS/SLDS/METHODOLOGIES:  DB migration skills.

QA/TESTING-APPROACHES, APPS:
