Centralized Registration and Input Credit

[Pravesh]

Dear All,

An assessee has obtained centralized service tax registration.  To avail input credit from the branches, do the branches need to register as Input Service Distributor (ISD) and transfer the credit by issuing a challan?  If not, can the credit be taken as such without receiving any document from branches?

Please clarify.  Thanks in advance.

The company can take the credit as it is. There is no requirement of transfer of credit through ISD mode.
