Hi all,
Just thought I'd mention this particular KickStarter campaign in its final week, as I think it might appeal to some of my fellow hackers.
Tektyte, a Melbourne based company is already developing nifty little precision power monitor/data loggers for USB 3.0 and PoE projects (funded - under final development / manufacturing), and at present are building expansion boards for the Intel Edison (as well as some nice numeric & alphanumeric display modules).
They continue to come up with add-ons for their Edi-Expand which would well suit hackers in leveraging the Edison, and capable of driving a butt-load of WS2182B led strips, servos and anything else you can dream up.
I think it would be great to see their campaign succeed.
Thought this was possibly a bit too much like plugging to post on the main mailing list, I hope that readers of the commercial list might find it interesting...
For the record, I have no affiliation with Tektyte, not receive any financial incentives for supporting them. I just like the work they're doing and am keen to support a local maker-friendly electronics company.
Feel free to check out their website for info on the other projects they've been working on at:
http://www.tektyte.com/ and maybe consider pledging support for their current KickStarter to help them reach their funding goal.
Cheers!
