Any old wireless router suitable for esp8266 and lifx

Do you have a wireless router, that you may have upgraded from, laying around?

I'm looking for a very cheap wireless router to experiment with esp8266 and a lifx light bulb.

My washing machine, that's in an outside laundry, on occasion goes out of balance and stops. Using a esp8266 and a lifx light bulb, that I was kindly given by JohnB, my plan is to get the esp8266 to talk to the light and get it flash

The only thing I now need is a wireless router to test this out.

At this stage I'm only looking to use the router to chat to things like the lifx light and esp8266's so some low spec router should be fine.

If you have a wireless router that you no longer have a use for that is suitable and would like to see it go to a good home, please contact me?
