Status report

First of all, I want to thanks and welcome everybody, our beta team
currently has the stunning number of 4 members (including me), Yoz
Grahame from Ning, Marcio Galli (visinote/mozilla minimo) and Gustavo
Amigo(aka Smeg from hideout.com.br).
Currently our DEFCON indicator is set to 3 (being 5=normal and
1=global thermonuclear war) cause I will spent my afternoon today
working on some user profiles settings and the voting system, so
things may broke in that time. But the submit track form is ok and you
don't have to stop adding content just because of the alert level ;)
* Locale
We currently have 2 locale options: en_us(default) and pt_br, the UI
for changing that user preference will be available soon, but if
anyone wants to use the Portuguese interface now I can change that
flag manually, just send me an IM.
There is a need for help here with translations, if anyone speaks more
languages and want to contribute please contact me that I send the
files with instructions.
* Bookmark and stream links
Our default bookmark service is del.icio.us and the default stream
format is m3u, if you happen to use others please tell me so I can
organize my priorities here.
* Voting system and IP to Country mapping
Before I open the voting system I want to be sure that there will be a
way to store the user last IP for statistical reasons, I am using this
page: http://country.ning.com/test.php to test when the Ning server
start to give us correct IP adresses and if we will be able to
guess(even if inaccurate) the country from the users =)
* Design:
I am no designer, but I played with the logo and some color options
this weekend, the screenshots are on
