Beyond that it would be great to given a URL scrape available mp3s and
probable licenses, like Webjay does (with addition of license scraping)
to minimize the amount of typing or copy&paste the user has to do.
Simplest license scraping would just be a regex like
href="(http://creativecommons.org/licenses/.*?)"
Finally (for now) the license icons for each track at
http://cchits.ning.com/radar/ are great, but ideally they would link to
the license in quesiton.
Sorry about the icons not linking to the license page, it was on my to
do and should have been there already.
The drop down will be replaced along with more advanced fields, thanks
for pointing the api, I didn't knew that, it will be of great help.
The scrape can be a good, but it has to be only for helping the human
user to get the track name/artist/link, album image and license so he
can spend more time actually writing the description and minimize the
copy/paste of things that can be retrieved.
I really want to reward good editorial quality and not be just a huge
database. Tools for batch music adding like other services like Webjay
has, are useful but I have some concerns if it should be available for
cchits. Maybe for another help app to be used with, I honestly don't
know.
What do you think?
