I noticed that the MozCC extension in combination with a lot of
different RDF content causes Firefox to time out on scripts. Read more

Hello Marco,

Do you know how the MozCC scans the page to find the licenses? I am
guessing that it looks for commented RDFs snippets inside the html.

I have dropped the support for embed commented rdf on CCHits because
it looks like a bad idea in general and also brokes if a track or
artist contains -- in the name. So the RDF version is one alternate
link, like the ones used for RSS autodiscover.

I should probably look more into the RDFa docs and use it, although I
think MozCC still doesnt support it either. If anyone has a better
suggestion on how to improve the page integration with MozCC and
other plugins and agents (Songbird, anyone?) please reply. Meanwhile
I will be running some tests here to make the page more friendly to
MozCC users.

Thanks for the feedback!

I installed MozCC just to take a look and when visiting CCHits I get a
"Warning Unresponsive Script" message from Firefox.

Since the page seens to has just one licence specification, I'd try to
remove the link rel="alternate" to the RDF as a test.

If I'm not wrong, RDFa will work only with XHTML 2. :(

Sorry for my late reply. But no, I don't know how MozCC scans the page.
I think this bug report is the best way to solve this issue. MozCC
might be handy but not really needed I guess.
