Draft of Description

The Community College section promotes dialogue and research about the transformative nature of a community college education. Our section is a public forum in which we address topics unique to the context of a two-year institution. We sponsor conference programs, engage in relevant research, and share practical advice about a variety of topics including program and course development, student-centered pedagogical approaches, administrative challenges, and special programming, among many others. Our advocacy work promotes the importance and influence of community colleges within higher education and, more specifically, in the communication discipline.
