* Age of Stupid (film screening): Wednesday March 3

The Arts Picturehouse is showing a screening of the Age of Stupid on
March 3 at 6pm. As two official speakers for the film (listed on
www.ageofstupid. net), Lizzie Gillett and Tony Juniper will speak and
engage in Q&A after the film. Buy your tickets early from Arts
Picturehouse.


* Lecture on Climate Change Risk: Friday March 5

Bob Watson of the University of East Anglia and DEFRA will be giving
the final lecture of this years Darwin College Lecture series on
"Risk" in Cambridge on Friday, March 5th when the subject will be
"Risk and (human-induced) climate change". The lectures are given at
5.30pm in the Lady Mitchell Hall on Sidgwick Avenue with an adjacent
overflow theatre with live TV coverage. Although the lectures are free
and open to all, since they are typically attended by at least 600
people, you must arrive early to ensure a place.


* Will the lights go out? Energy policy in the UK to 2020: Thursday
March 1

Part of the University of Cambridge Science Festival, this panel
discussion will be from 5.30 - 7 pm in the Little Hall, Sidgwick
Avenue. Topics will include the myths and realities of government
energy policy, in particular: security of supply, affordability and
decarbonisation of energy production. Audience participation welcomed
with on-site questionnaire. Arrive on time. Adults only.
