Chinese corner next week

Hi all,
Sorry i didn't come to chinese corner today..
Next week is the calligraphy show! Actually it's an opportunity for Chinese learners to learn to use calligraphy brushes. Capt will send Xuying there to teach them. There will be no presentation, but just a table. Learners could try on their own to write calligraphy and Xuying and I will give them instructions on how to hold the brushes.
Since that both Chinese corner and Capt are in need of money, maybe we can put a donation box next to the calligraphy table? Currently Capt hope to get two thirds of the donation and we can keep a third, do you guys agree with that?
We need a table, like the one on Yuanxiao fest. Haiyang, could you please book one table by then? Thank you.

I contacted Yuxiang and Ji and they said CSSS may be able to sponsor this event.

@ John, just want to make sure, are we allowed to do the donation?

i personally think it might be a little late to buy souvenirs now, and capt still has some calligraphy tools left, so there would be no expense now. The donation is just for our future emergency and capt's expense. Would that be ok?

mmm i do not think we are supposed to do donations for this, because when we applied for funding from the ASC, the funding was also meant to go to cultural events as well as food for Chinese Corner...
but i would just go ahead and do donations anyways!  it shouldn't be a problem.
