I have not yet attempted the exam but I would recommend that you become familiar with all the technologies included in the following presentation to get you started from the SP layer 2 perspective:

I think that the approach to studying these technologies is not to always study them in isolation. The reason for this is because at the end of the day, the protocols all need to interoperate, so my take on it would be to look at examples as to how and where the various technologies would be implemented and then try to work out if they would work in a network design that consisted of various different technologies.
