Has anybody faced issues / questions on representing time zones in a CCD? The time stamps contain the offset in the XML, but the cda.xsl style sheet (from Lantana Group) seems to use only standard time zones and does not show Daylight savings time zones.

As an example: A hospital that is in a location that is on CDT (Central Daylight Time) shows EST (Eastern Standard Time) on the CCD rendered using the cda.xsl from Lantana group. This is because the offset from UTC is the same for CDT and EST. Hence the time is accurate but is confusing for user that expects to see their local time zone.

If anybody has addressed this, please share your inputs.

Thanks,
Varun

Hi Varun,

Have any one answered your question yet? Does "YYYYMMDDHHMMSS-05" mean EST? Is the time zone UTC-5?

Thank you,

Zoey
