For CCR generation, it looks like it only outputs medications when they are active, at least for Outpatient meds.  I'm using C0C_1_1_0_T7.KID, which appears to be the latest distribution.  In the C0CMED1.m file(in the OHUM branch), it appears to allow you to specify ACTIVE, PENDING or ALL to the function, but it appears to screen only for ACTIVE meds.
Is this by design?  Does CCR require only active medications?

Mike:

If you want more that just active meds in the CCR extract, you might try modifying the entry in the C0C PARAMETER file. The MEDS FILTER parameter has three possibilites:

MEDS FILTER: ACTIVE MEDS// ?
     ACTIVE, PENDING OR ALL MEDS
     Choose from:
       ACT      ACTIVE MEDS
       PEN      PENDING MEDS
       ALL      ALL MEDS

Select C0C PARAMETERS NAME:   ??

Select C0C PARAMETERS NAME: ?
    Answer with C0C PARAMETERS NAME:
   DEFAULT

You may enter a new C0C PARAMETERS, if you wish
NAME MUST BE 3-30 CHARACTERS, NOT NUMERIC OR STARTING WITH
        PUNCTUATION

Select C0C PARAMETERS NAME: DEFAULT
NAME: DEFAULT//
LAB LIMIT: T-360//
LAB START: T//
VITALS LIMIT: T-360//
VITALS START: T//
MEDS LIMIT: T-360//
MEDS START: T//
MEDS FILTER: ACTIVE MEDS//
NOTES LIMIT: T-500//
NOTES START: T//
NOTES YES/NO: YES//

George:
I did do that. My C0C parameter is set to ALL, but the code, in C0CMED1.m, seems to ignore it.
From C0CMED1.m

 I 'ALL,ACTIVE,$P(MED(100),U,2)'="ACTIVE" QUIT

Maybe I'm reading it wrong.

Mike:

You're right. It looks like a bug.

I hope that OHUM will respond to this and fix it for us. They have been supporting the package for the last few months.

If you come up with a fix, I'll be happy to test it out and include it in a new build (and I'll pass it on to OHUM so they will be up to date)

Thanks George.  I'm just glad I'm not crazy.
I'll see what I can work up.

BTW, I really like your code, it is a pleasure to read compared to many of the other VistA M code I've gone through.

Mike
We will validate & get back to you on this ASAP.

Please let us know if you face any more issues with this package. It will help us to refine the package in a much better way.

regards
Sanchu S

thanks Mike :) it's great to know that someone is trying out the package. Please let us know if it is useful to you.

By the way, if anyone is interested, I'm looking for a volunteer to write about installing the package on VistAPedia as part of our Meaningful Use documentation.

actually, I can't take any credit for C0CMED1... Sam Habiel wrote it, and OHUM made modifications. It's been a team effort. Sam really does write very clear code.
