Greetings CCC local senate folks,
Asking again: If your college has contract language, or other established procedures for faculty to qualify to teach online would you please reply and send me a link to these resources, as well as any comments you might want to add?
Here at Santa Rosa Junior College (SRJC) some members of our local senate exec are researching what kinds of contractual language and/or professional development practices other California Community Colleges (CCCs) have regarding requiring faculty to have expertise or engage in professional development to qualify to teach online.
Faculty at our college are interested in doing something to ensure our online instructors have some expertise in teaching effectively in this modality.
Many, many thanks to folks from Foothill-De Anza, Glendale, College of the Canyons, Compton, and Mt. San Antonion Colleges for your responses, they have been very very helpful to us here at SRJC.
Thank you all in advance!
take care,
Nancy
