On January 18, the Board of Governors passed changes in the Title 5 regs about Emergency Withdrawal (EW) that will allow a student to withdraw at ANY TIME  (even after the class is finished). The Admissions/Registrations Officers organization gave BOG a detailed report on the problems with proposed change to the EW regs (especially the language that permits students to drop even after the class is finished) but BOG ignored them. Was ASCCC asked to give its views on the change?

§ 55024. WITHDRAWALS FROM CREDIT COURSES.
(c)(1) Excused withdrawals shall be allowed to students in extenuating circumstances at any time, upon petition of the student or their representative.

How are your colleges going to implement this change?
